Go Bull-Snakes

Colby had his first T-ball game tonight. It was so fun- except for the 100mph winds!! (I hope it won't be like this all season, I am really tired of it already.) He did really good. He as able to stop alot of the balls, and he even remembered to throw it to 1st base every time. His team couldn't decide on a name-- half the kids wanted to be the bulldogs, but the other half wanted to be the rattlesnakes. So the coach said how about the Bull-snakes, and all the kids cheered. They loved it, even though he meant it as a joke. Oh well, that's who we are now.
So, go BULL SNAKES!!

Macie is 6 months!!

Well our little one is growing up so fast, I think we might be missing some of it!! She is now 6 months old. All the sudden she is eating food, rolling and scooting around on the floor, yelling, laughing really good, and trying to sit up. Where did the time go??? Anyways here are a few recent pic's of her.

I had to post this because she does it all the time! She is constantly chewing on her fingers, and when she first puts her fingers in, one always goes in her nose!! It's to funny.

Mr. & Mrs. Cleve Claridge

My brother and Misty got married over the weekend--finally!! It was so pretty, and I wish them all the happiness in the world. They did it real simple at her partents house, but it was decorated just perfect. Chris had the honor of marrying them, yes he is officially a minister. He got online and got his minister licence. Crazy, but cool, he was honored that they asked him to do it. I'm posting a few pic's for Callie since she couldn't be there.

Congrats guys, we love you!!

My Poor Boy

Well my boy had yet another surgery yesterday. They put the ear tubes back in and took the anenoids out. He was pretty mad when we got there, which we expected. He is mad because he has to wear ear plugs again. So I had to go back with him, which I knew was going to be really hard to watch him be put under again, so I just didn't look at his face and held his hand while talking to him. Those of you who have been there, know what I'm talking about- those of you who don't, just trust me and don't watch. When they came to get me when he woke up, he was pretty upset. He just kept crying, and was trying to rip the iv out of his arm. I finally got him calmed down and we got him to drink some water so they could take the iv out. Then he was upset about the pulse ox that was on his finger. He kept saying that the red light was burning his finger and it hurt. He was also refusing to take the pain meds that they had for him. He said he couldn't do it because he didn't know how it would taste. Those of you that know just how picky he is are probably laughing, because that is totally Colby!! So after about an hr of begging, bargaining, and then threatening with him he still refused to take it so they called in a rx for it and let us go. The poor thing was pretty upset from the anesthesia and demerol. I really hate seeing him go thru that, and pray that it doesn't have to happen again. As soon as we got the rx I bribed him with a new monster truck to get him to take the meds. Hey gotta do what you gotta do- I didn't want him to be in pain on the way home!! Well he is doing great now. You wouldn't even know that anything happened. I guess I was worrying because I didn't know what to expect with the anenoids, but all is well.

Cookie's for Aunt Callie

The kids and I decided to make some cookies and send them to Callie. She is in Missouri and seems to really like it. Dang it!!! Anyways, we are trying to make her miss us and come back home, so what better way then to send her things to remember us by!! he he :) Yes, I know I'm being a brat, but oh well- we miss her. The kids had fun regardless of my intentions!!

I'm Still Here

I want to give a shout out to Missy for reminding me that I'm way behind on Blogging!! Thanks!

So we are all still alive. We have been fighting our way thru colds, and hopefully one day we will get thru them. We just keep passing them around- it sucks. I am totally frustrated because last week we took Colby back to the ear dr to have a follow-up since he got his tubes out, and he has to now get them back in! He is almost deaf in one ear because of all the fluid and wax stuck in there so they are putting them back in on the 12th of March. I feel so bad for him. He asked us why God made his ears like that. I had no idea what to tell him. It was so sad. Oh, well better than ear infections. Becca's new favorite thing to do is go cross eyed! Crazy I know, but she calls them "crazy eyes". Too funny. And as for Macie, well she turned 5 months old yesterday. She is doing great other than her crummy cold.

As for me I actually went back to work today. My sister moved away to Missori last week :( so I took over for her. Really, I'm not sure how it's going to work out, but I'm going to give it a shot. It's only part time, but I'll be honest- I really like staying home. I get to take Macie with me and the other 2 go to Chris's parents so at least they are not at a babysitter. I did tell my mom that today was "my first and last day"- so you can guess how today went!! Here is hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Groundhog Sandwiches

Just thought I would share the snack I made for Colby's pre-school. I think they are to flippin cute. Peanut butter on bread, vanilla wafers, raisinets, marshmellows, and pretsels. Super easy. Thanks Leah for the idea!!

Macie is 4 Months Old!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, where does the time go?? Well she turned 4 months old last week. Can you believe it, because I can't. She is still the sweetest baby, who smiles as soon as you look at her. They grow so dang fast. She's laughing and kinda rolling, she is so much fun.

Other than that, we are still here not doing much. Colby is obsessed with the Wii. He is so dang good at Mario Cart, that I quit playing him. I really love having it, because it is such good leverage to use against him. Evil I know but you gotta do what you gotta do- Right!!
Becca is currently obsessed with the Ninja Turtles ??? Not sure why, but she loves them and insists on watching them a few times a day. She tells me that she is "ralph."
And well for me, I caved and read the Twilight books again. These dang books are going to be the life of me. I'm really glad that I did because they were so much better this time. Glad to be done with them though so I can get back to life, but really want to start them again.?.? Can't explain it. Callie and I and a friend went and watched the movie this past Saturday in Phx. Callie hadn't seen it so I told her I would take her when she finished the 1st book. The movie just irritates me- it's ok, but could have been so much better if they would have stuck to the book more. Oh well. I'm done obsessing for now, but hope that they consider that in the next movie.

WHEW, the holidays are over!!

Is it just me or have the last few weeks been a blur!! We had a wonderful Christmas, despite a minor mishap. Santa brought the kids a trampoline, well him and Mrs. Claus overlooked the fact that the wind blows 100 mph out here and the dang thing blew away Christmas night. Being that it rained all of Christmas day, the kids only jumped for about 3 min that morning. Chris did end up finding all the PIECES (yes I said pieces!) but was unable to put it back together. We were lucky enough that wal-mart had one left and he ran down the next morning and got it. So the kids do love the trampoline though. It is so cute to- Colby can do front flips, and Becca is just so proud of herself because she can jump!

I finally caved on New Years Eve and started reading Twilight. Well everything I ever heard about them was so true. They are the best dang books ever. I wasn't able to put them down. Luckily it only took me about 8 days to read them all. I thought Chris was going to take them and burn them! So I've spent several days cleaning and doing a crap load of laundry, but have finally got it all caught back up. So I'm thinking about reading them again!!! What can I say- I'm in love with a vampire and want him to suck my blood!!!
