Merry Christmas

Colby got up this morning and came straight to me and said "mom you know what I just kept thinking when I was sleeping?" Nope, I said. "If Santa was going to bring me a present or not." It was so cute, but sad because I keep threatening him that Santa see's him, and if he doesn't start being good that Santa's not going to bring him anything. So I guess I'll lay off the "treats" today, I don't want him to think he's not getting anything!

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

3 Months Old

Ok, I can't believe it but Macie was 3 months old yesterday. Boy how time flys. She is getting so big, really she is 16 lbs and 22 1/2 in long. She is the happiest baby, and loves to smile and eat her hands.

Family Christmas Party

On Saturday, my mom's family got together for our annual Christmas Party. We have dinner, the kids all exchage gifts and a special guest (Santa) stops by. We have done this ever since I can remember, and its alot of fun. My sweet little Becca who is afraid, or shy to everyone, walked right up to Santa and got on his lap and proceded to tell him that she wants DORA!! It was so cute. Her little personality is growing so much.

Macie's Blessing

So I'm a horrible mom, and forgot to take any pictures of Macie on her Blessing day!! So we re-inacted it this past Sunday after church!!!- Just for pictures. LOL, I know I'm retarded.

Chris's Grandpa Frank blessed her, and my Uncles Danny and Ronnie came and took part in it. Chris's Grandpa gave her a beautiful blessing. She did pretty good and only fussed for a second. We were not able to have a dinner afterwards, due to me having to stay for the remainder of church to teach my first day of Nursery!! Yup, they already gave me a job. It's quite interesting teaching and taking care of a baby. Glad it's an easy calling though and it keeps me going.

Thanks to all our family for coming and participating in her special day and to Papa Frank for her special blessing!

Tree Decorating

Here are some pictures of the kids decorating the tree.

Gingerbread Houses

We made gingerbread houses about a week ago (just got film developed!!). Becca and I did one, and Chris and Colby did one. It was so much fun, although Becca's and mine did have the roof fall off. Colby said, "maybe only the boys should put the house together and the girls should put the candy on." It was to funny. We managed to get it put back together and it didn't turn out to bad. The kids had fun, that's all that matters right!!

Husband Tag!!

1. How long did you date before you got married?
Just a little over a year. Although he preposed after about 4 months. I made him wait until I was out of school.

2. How long have you been married?
9 1/2 years!!!

3. What does he do that surprises you?
He helps so much around the house. Now with 3 kids running around things are not as tidy as they used to be. He knows that it makes me crazy so he is always doing the laundry or picking up.

4. What is his best feature?
I love his eyes, and his bald head!! Crazy I know, but I really do love it.

5. What is his best quality?
He is always there when I or someone else needs him, even if it's something he hates to do. And usually never complains about it.

6. Does he have a nickname for you?
It's usually, hey babe.

7. What is his favorite color?
It has to be brown or green because those are the only color of shirts that he likes to wear.....kinda like camo I guess!!!

8. What is his favorite animal?
Dogs

9. What is his favorite food?
Cheese!! He really is a cheese lover.

10. What is his favorite sport?
Hunting or off road racing-- well he says they are sports!!!

11. When and where did you first kiss?
On our first date...the day after graduation my junior year (can't remember the actual date). We were up on the mountain dancing under the stars... Romantic huh! Ya, he made me fall for him with his romancing.

12. Favorite thing to do as a couple?
We love to lay in bed and talk until late.

13. Do you have any children?
Yup, the 3 cutest ones ever!!! Colby, Becca, and Macie

14. Does he have a hidden talent? Umm, Pretty good at off road driving. We used to do it alot before we had kids, now I'm to worried that we will roll and someone will get hurt. Motherhood, it's taken some of the adventure out of me!!!

15. How old is he?
Really old...just kidding!! 33

16. Who said 'I love you' first?
He did! We had been dating for about 3 months and I knew that I already loved him, but I was waiting for him to say it. I was too scared to say it first:)

17. What is his favorite music?
Hairnation!!! He loves the old rock and roll. He also likes older country music.

19. Do you think he will read this? I'm sure he will someday. He checks out my blog everynow and then. But not very often.

Colby's Christmas Program

Colby's pre-school class participated in the Solomon School Christmas Program lastnight. His class sang one song, and each of them had a costume. It was cute, but you couldn't really hear them because they were so far away from the microphone. He was a gingerbread man, and seamed pretty excited about it. There were christmas trees, elfs with bells, and the gingerbread people. He knew the entire song, I was so proud. He was one of the only voices I could hear. Here are some of the pictures I took with me new camera. It's really hard to get used to a digital camera from my 35 mm. It takes a while for the picture to take so I'm not very good yet!!!

Can you tell he is so excited!!!!

Can you believe it. We just got it all hooked up yesterday so I took some pictures and am going to try and figure out how to get them on the computer. I'm so excited so I had to share, stupid I know.

Chucky Cheese

We went to Tucson yesterday and stayed the night because Colby had to get the tubes removed from his ears early this morning. For some reason unknown to me, whenever one of the kids is going to do something a little scary, I feel as if we need to treat them to something fun. So Colby picked Chucky Cheese. They really had a blast. One of the nurse's this morning referred to it as "Las Vegas for kids", which is so true. Thankfully we were one of 3 families that were there, so the kids just kind of ran all over the place freely.

Anyways, Colby was such a brave little guy, he was a bit nervous at first, but Chris was able to go in with him until he fell asleep so it really eased his mind. They let me in recovery as soon as he started to wake up. Right when I walked in his room, he looked at me and said "mom I feel good"!!! Little stinker really seems to like being "groggy" from the anesthesia. He likes the gas at the dentist also. So he did great and we were only there for about 20 min from when they started the surgery to when we were walking out the door.

Here are some pictures from Chucky Cheese.

Turkey Time

Ok Colby brought this turkey home from school the other day that he had to decorate and take back to decorate the classroom. He had so much fun. He picked out some of my scrapbook paper, cut it with some decorative sissors and glued them on for feathers. He painted the whole turkey first. Then he glued the eyes, nose, and popcorn on. He was so excited to use so many different things to decorate it. He told me that "the other kids in my class will be so impressed"!! I love that he used the word impressed, so I had to share it with everyone.

Happy Halloween- (a few days ago)!!

The kids seemed to have alot of fun this year for Halloween. On Thursday night we took them to the Halloween Carnival at Solomon School. We invited the Cox's- Micah, Jimmy, Maddox, and Bodie to join in on all the fun. The kids had a good time there, and got a crap load of candy. Thanks guys for coming along, Colby was so excited to have a friend to go with. Friday was the usual driving across the county to see all the grandparents and then the kids fell asleep, which was ok with us because of all the candy they got the night before.

1 Month Old

Well time has flown by so fast, Macie is now a month old. She is growing so fast...really she has gained 3 pounds in the last 3 weeks putting her to 10lbs!!! I can't believe how chunky she is getting, pretty sure most of it is in her cheeks! She is such a good baby and we are so thankful that she joined our family.

Pumpkin Patch

This past saturday we went to Apple Annies Pumpkin Patch in Wilcox. Cleve, Misty, and Bryant came along for the fun. We first went thru the Corn Maze. The boys had a ton of fun, and so did we. Throughout the maze you would come to numbers, which had a corrasponding question on that you had to answer. Your answer would tell you to go right or left (the right or wrong way!!) Well with Colby, Bryant, and Cleve leading the way---we went in alot of circles! We eventually found our way out, but it was really alot of fun. Colby's favorite thing before we got there was to tell everyone he was "going to go get lost", and that is just what we did. After the maze, we took the tractor ride over to pick pumpkins. It was fun to watch the kids find a reason why they didn't want certain ones. Usually it was to little, they wanted huge ones. So we ended up with 2 pumpkins, and headed back home. It's such a fun place to go.

2 Weeks Old

Boy has time flown by. Macie turned 2 weeks old yesterday. She is growing so fast. She is such a good baby, she eats good, hardly cries or spits up. Which is a complete opposite from the other 2. She starting to look more like her own little person, rather than a clone of Colby. Her little cheeks are getting so chubby, the rolls are soon to follow I'm sure!!

Happy 5th Birthday Colby!!!

I can't believe it, but Colby turned 5 on Saturday. It seems like he was just born. We had a small party with just family. It was nice, he didn't get overwhelmed with presents, and got to enjoy each one as he opened it rather than being rushed to the next gift. Chris and I had a great surprise for him....we got him a 4-wheeler. He was so excited. He has been wanting one for months, and we keep telling him that he had to save his money. He jumped right on and rode it like he has had one for a yr. He does so good. He even helped me make his cake, it was a great day. Happy Birthday son, we love you!!

Painting Pumpkins

So I wanted to do something fun with the older kids since the new baby has got most of the attention since we have been home. They had got the pumpkins when they were staying with my mom while we were in Tucson, so I decided it would be fun to let them paint on them. Good idea, they LOVED it. Colby had every color on the pumpkin, then decided to mix all the colors together and paint it one color. He likes to mix things to see what happens. And Becca is such a careful painter. She tried so hard not to let any of the colors that she was painting touch. Such opposites!!

She is Here!!!

Macie Carol Hancock

9-23-08
6 lbs 13 oz
19 inches

Well Macie is here. I'm a little slow on getting this updated, but we've been a little busy!! You forget how demanding a newborn is, and WOW what a difference 3 kids is from 2!!

She did give us a little scare the first night in the hospital, and they did end up flying her to Tucson. She had a couple spells where she quit breathing so they thought it was best to send her and have her monitored. It was really hard to let them take her away in the helicopter without us, but Chris left right after they did, and got to be with her right away. Because of my c-section there were a few things the Dr wanted me to do before he would release me, but I did get to go that day and made it up there to be with her. We were there for 3 days, and nothing more happened. They said that it was pretty common for babies to gag on mucus and milk and close off their airway to avoid getting fluid in their lungs when they are first born. Who knew? So anyways we are home now and she is doing great.
I want to thank everyone for your thoughts and calls of support. This was for sure the scariest thing we've ever been thru- we made it, and have a health little girl.
